Donald Traver has been an art-world fixture since 1980 in the early days of the East Village art boom, exhibiting at experimental art spaces including Massino Audiello and White Columns. His work is in the collections of the Whitney and Getty Museums. Traver describes the abstract style of his new large-format pieces as "a New York tradition." His interest lies in how people live with art: the relationship between non-objective art and the spaces we inhabit. "Consider it the farm-to-table of art," he describes, where paint pigments are relatively low cost for high quality and value is created in the application to the canvas and the methodology. "A gesture, a flick of the wrist creates a universe." These immersive paintings: are they grains of sand, celestial skies, or perhaps blades of grass? Ambiance, with visceral impact, in a palette of earth tones—red, ochre, green earth, Naples yellow—conceived with beautiful brushes. Traver's debut at RALPH PUCCI addresses how art can enhance the experience with some of the most innovative and exquisite handcrafted furniture in the world.

The Penthouse hosts designs by the always-bold  Hervé van der Straeten including signature convex mirrors, stone-studded tables and Technicolor consoles. Overlooking  Hervé van der Straeten’s masterpieces are James HD Brown’s eight Oval Paintings, which express the idea of looking out of an oval window at night. Brown first showed with RALPH PUCCI in 2001 and is currently exhibiting his ceramics and carpets at RALPH PUCCI Los Angeles.
